Calling all Toyota 86 and AE86 owners… the FESTIVALOF86 is back!
Toyota Australia will be supporting a very special 86 owners’ meet-up at White Bay Cruise Terminal in Sydney on the 8th and 9th of November.
The man responsible for creating the car we all love – Toyota 86 Chief Engineer, Tetsuya Tada – will be returning to Festival of 86 to personally thank you for your support and, of course, to check out your cars. He’ll be joined on the day by four-time national rally champion Neal Bates and National drift champion Beau Yates.
The festival will be packed with food trucks, coffee stands, merchandise, your beautiful 86 and AE86s, and plenty more!
Please note: Admission is very limited. You can only attend on one day so please pick carefully. Tickets are currently for only the driver with their 86 or AE86. A notification will be sent closer to the event when guest passes and general admission become available.
Register for a pass, tell your friends and give your baby a wash and detail!
Register Here: http://festivalof86.eventbrite.com.au/
When: Saturday 8, 10am – 4pm OR Sunday 9 November 2014, 10am – 3pm
Where: White Bay Cruise Terminal, James Craig Road, Rozelle, NSW
– Access to the main site is strictly limited to Toyota 86 & Original AE86’s
– Non 86/AE86s will have to park offsite (although limited on-site parking will also be available)
– A provision for trailer parking will be provided (for those with race cars and heavily modified rides)
– You MUST have a printed version of your event ticket with you to be granted access to the event
– Gates will open at 10am on both days – NOT BEFORE
For any questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Remember, Toyota will be keeping an eye out for #Festivalof86 in the lead-up to the event, so be sure to post pictures along the way!
Please drive safely and watch your speed. As per last year the local council & police are aware that the event is occurring. In return for providing access to the site, Toyota reserves the right to make use of any images and video collected on the day in promotional material for social media purposes. Toyota has also confirmed that no pets will be allowed to enter the event, and no alcohol will be permitted on site.
The worldwide AE86 family got into the spirit on the 6th of August to celebrate 86 Day. These Japanese hachiroku mania got out to Sports Land Yamanashi to tear it up, making sure to get in-car camera angles and roof cam angles for maximum effect.
Out now thanks to SAGE Fansubs:
“Hey hey hey it’s Initial D, finally. The early airing caught me off my guard.
Yes, we know the raw is shit. It’s the best one we could find.
The problem is, next week we might not even be able to find any raw. It starts airing on Animax PPV, and NOBODY gets that channel.
If you can hook us up with raws, let me know. Otherwise the rest won’t get subbed until the Blurays come out.”
Let’s hope not! I wonder if Japanese animation companies will ever release Japanese Blu Rays with english subs. I know I’d buy them!
