This year brings us to show number 10! That's right, we've been doing this for a decade, and we're back at our favourite venue - Home Hub Castle Hill. If the weather is kind to us, we'll be on the rooftop enjoying the sunshine.

So far we have DBA and Zen Garage on board as event sponsors. Should be looking at a few more within a month. We'll keep you posted!

So how do you enter...?

To be eligible to enter, the vehicle must be Toyota bodied, but any engine and driveline combination is welcome. You DO NOT have to be a member of the Toymods Car Club to enter and we encourage other Toyota clubs to present club displays.

The display will close at 3.00pm with ALL cars remaining until then. In the interest of public safety NO vehicle may be moved or started during the display.

Again, Toymods, is organising a few 'side' events for the interstate enthusiasts. So to make their trip worthwile, we will be having a dinner and possibly a Dyno Day or drag night at WSID (TBA)

See everyone there...

PS: You're car does not need to be in 'show condition' to enter. As long as it's neat and tidy (washing it is a great start), we'd love to see it in the show!

I take it non-toymods members are welcome to attend this? I was on the forum many years ago but was never a member of the club.

I'd like to bring my AE86 along, but as it's not registered it might be interesting...Will need to trailer it there and then drive up the ramps.

Is the roof restricted for the show only,or is it open to the public who'll be shopping as usual downstairs as well?

If it rains they'll usually have it in the underground carpark. I've seen cars in the past that weren't members join in, you just have to go early for a spot :)

dont need to be a member, as long as you have a toyota chassis you are welcome to enter. if it is sunny then we will be on the roof, if it rains then we will be upstairs. we are trying to get the whole roof for ourselves if we can, but either way out area will be made separate to the public

justin, ive been at the show for the last 4 years and last year we had 10 AE86s turn up at random! plus there was another 5 odd that showed up to check out the event over the course of the day. the AE were all non-members, and half of them barely even forum members of here or DC.

mate bring the car out, talk shit with as many people as possible and take a walk around. its friendly event with lots of friendly people.

Also, since this is the 10th anniversary of toyotafest I thought we should do something a little extra. As a result, I am organising a gokarting day at eastern creek the day before.

https://www.facebook.com/events/554799917918586/

The venue is eastern creek karts, and we will be doing a mini grand prix which includes:
- warm up
- 4 heats
- grand final

Time is not confirmed yet but I will aim for around midday. Cost is currently $210 per person but we are trying to negotiate a better rate. Also. If people are interested, we can go and watch the movie "Rush" afterwards at a cinema nearby? Make a full day of it...

I need at least 10 people to be on board for this to go ahead, so please confirm if you are going to make it as soon as possible people!

I'm not going to be able to bring the car to this now as I'll be working in the CBD in the morning. Will try to get up there after lunch in the lexus to say hello though. Justin...

Ok so start time for karting is definitely 1pm. I have also been able to secure a discount which means the entry price has now been reduced to $180 :D

We will be going on the longest configuration of the track, 1024m long (track 3)
http://www.easterncreekkarts.com.au/hire-circuit-map.php

The race is expected to take 3 hours, the closest cinema to the track is Hoyts blacktown, Rush is on at 6:30pm there if anyone is keen...

I need to confirm numbers for karting by friday so please let me know ASAP if you are coming!

Yep,my LS' dash said it was 35deg at 1.30pm when I got there. The glare was bad as well, most people were hiding under the few stands or against the walls to keep out of the sun.

If I didn't have to work in the morning I would have towed my AE86 over for it as I'm not far away. Maybe next year...
