but things are happening in the background
changing front tyres from 195/55 to 205/50 will allow me to finish of the front suspension and set it all up properly

fitted tyres and a quick test on the car
50 profile is so much nicer
and chucked on the new wheel
driving position fells very spot on cant wait for a steer

also got a new head gasket and exhaust valve
and some exhaust flanges for an extractor project im keen to have a go at

This car has been sitting around far to long
I snapped an exhaust valve a year ago when one of the throttle body locator dowls dropped into the chamber
i pretty much cried for 6 months then was tossing up just getting another motor or doing all the things like head recond and new waterpump blah blah
a friend at work kicked my ass and just said fix the valve and drive the damn thing
so thats what i did
new valve and cleaned up the 2 exhaust seats
spent the day putting it all together
turn the key tomorrow

had to fix some coolant leaks and thermo fans had blown a fuse
put everything back together and booked her in for a wheel alignment
got 2.5 neg camber
5 deg caster
2mm toe in
guy who set it all up knew what he was doing and set it up with spread so it drives on the camber of the road well
It was spot on car drove great and the quickrack really makes it feel like a go kart
so glad i finnaly got rid of the NEG rcas the car feels like it should now
BUT ... there is always a but
when the car was on the hoist i noticed my efforts to stop an oil leak were not very well executed
in fact i had made it worse.....
so engine out as that seemed like an easier option to make sure everything is 100%

people at repco couldn't find beams info so i got a 3sgte rear main thinking it would be the same ... i was clearly wrong
crank looks fine which is a bonus
