back to the piston subject, iv opened my motor to find that they are 8:0:1 comp, iv been offered some 8:9:1 pistons for a good price.
turbo being new to me but from what i gather a lower comp will lag more but is able to run more boost and a higher comp means less lag but less boost.
would it be an advantage going to the 8:9 pistons or better off with the 8:0?
Go the 8.9's. Running low static comp to allow higher boost is the 80's way of doing things. With the quality of engine management and the fuels we have now there's no reason to sacrifice everything off-boost for a higher safety margin when on-boost.
