Just a question about lsd diffs,
I have been on the interweb an found these obx helical diff heads for round 350 bucks, now my question is what the feck is a helical diff, it talks about no clutch so is that just a locked diff similar to a horrible welded diff or something altogether different.
Cheers

Shit I think that makes me a belieber,
So I have done a little more looking and got onto a drift forum and they say helical diff for drift is no good but for road use and or road racing they are good, which a 2way lsd will give controllable slide where the helical will transfer power making drifting hard but driving grip is great and then when braking the helical acts like an open diff.
Just thought I'd share

Important to note that helical diffs "open up" if you have a wheel off the ground. So basically no good for track if you're going to be taking a bit of curb, and no good for hillclimbs/dirt/tarmac rallies where you have uneven surfaces, mid corner bumps, etc.

Basically unless both wheels are on the ground helical is rubbish
