Hey guys

thought with the current petrol prices that fuel economy is a key think in getting the most out of our hard earned money. Im currently wondering what people are getting to a tank with their setups. And also how much does the tank hold as I think its 25L but could be 30L adm tank.

At the moment I get about 220-240km per tank, Not sure if thats good or bad for the 4ac with normal unleaded

what do you guys get and what tricks do you use to get more out of your fuel

Engine - 7 Rib Big port

Mods - Pod filter, extractors, plugs/leads.

Fuel line - Running the 6mm adm fuel line.

Fuel Consumption - Before I changed the fuel filter I was getting anywhere from 220~370 km/tank depending on the driving. Seriously after only changing the fuel filter on mainly highway some city I'm seeing above 500kms a tank EASY! I couldn't believe it but it's been about 8 full tanks and still getting kick arse km's. The fuel filter I took out I cut in half, was absolutely caked in thick brown sludge.

My car has a 40l tank... I don't know its ful history but its a ADM Sprinter?

I get about 440km to the tank, so thats 11km/litre... not bad when I frequently drive with a lead foot.

Mods include;
Bigport 4AGE with lift pump in tank and a high pressure pump. Stock lines and injectors.

Yea Im not sure, It might be my petrol gauge beacuse when it gets to about 3/4 empty I can put in about 22L or so to fill it up, So Unsure maybe my gauge is way off, think I might just drive it around till it goes completely emptyn with a jerry can and see how many km I get out of it.

Anyone got a definant answer on the Capacity of ADM/JDM tanks

25-30 lol

Try stock ae86 tank has a internal capacity of 50ltrs.

I have bigport stock everything even the ecu, was rebuilt with fresh rings and bearings about 120,000kms ago.

I constantly still get over 500kms per tank, even after the 4.5 was put in.

Ive had it over 600kms before. That took 45ltr to refill.

Yea that would explain the problem Im having then, I keep thinking its going to run out but fulling it back up when its only half way thats why I only thought it had 25-30L

As well I never realised that the ae86 had a petrol light lol  when does it normally come on and how many km can you get before there is no fuel at all?

wells ive got the ae82 bigport and it gets bout 7litres per 100kms.so i can easily get 600+ out of the 45 litre tank.

with the sprinter its a ST 20v running microtech and exhaust.its bout 9.6litres per 100. so just under 500kms to a 45 litre tank

this can vary.. see when i had the 4ac, when the petrol light came on first time i had between 10-12ltrs in the tank.
when i converted to 4age, i had a new intank pump, and my old fuel sender now when the light comes on i have about 5-8ltrs

the 4ac with 10-12ltrs, i could get almost an extra 100kms, with the 4age with 5-8ltrs i might get 30-40kms..

The fuel tank is definitely 50litres!!
I believe the warning light comes on with roughly 10litres left.

I get 13-15km/L with my gze (3sge throttle body, fmic). I get told my odometer is out of whack when i say the mileage i get! I know my calculation is good as i have driven the exact same route to work with a near new car to get a correct distance.

The fuel efficiency and the power of the gze are unbeatable :D !!

oh wow, so much misinformation in here!

sprinter tank is listed as 55 litres in the manual, but 50 i will believe too. When the fuel light comes on you have about 15 litres left or so.

Highway kilometers i got 6.2 L/100ks out of my 4AC, with the 4AGE it is definately worse, around 7 litres per hundred from memory.

240 ks out of a tank wiht a 4AC is fucking shocking! i have done 600 ks on a tank easily

my AE111 BT 20V gets on average 7.2/7.4ltr/100km city driving, this is not pussy foot driving but lots of high rpm/large throttle openings. On the highway I can get it down to 6.0/6.2ltr/100km sitting on 110km/h. I reckon with a little pussy footing I could get it just under 6.0ltr/100km on highway.
