i wouldn't be driving nascar engine for an easy to drive and smooth idleing engine haha.

would just be fat lumping around in a crazy built engine.

can't ever see myself blowing 30k on an engine ever...

well then clay, just go for something like a 572 big block chev, increase the comp to 10:1 and jam a big stick in it.
it will sound like the world is ending when it idles.

i still remember a few years ago there was a 1967 pontiac GTO on display at nostalgia drags in sydney. it looks fairly plain on the outside and didnt give a hint as to what was under the bonnet, hell even the number plate wasnt to strong of a hint being GTO-572...

the bonnet was only open a few inches, just enough to see what was under there, a blown 572 chev (i later found out it was bored to 604 cubes) with a huuuuuuuuuge procharger hung off the side.
i made sure i was around when the guy took off, it was certainly very very angry, and was lurching up the road just on idle. as the owner turned the corner to head out he just breathed on the throttle and it left 2 fat black lines for 3-4 meters...

it was boner inducingly epic.

would just be cool to own a "nascar" engine. gotta love the 9000rpm+ rev limit though!

and i could whinge about coming home early from hawaii (got married over there) so i can go on a deployment overseas for it to be pushed back by a week. i was supposed to be on a cruise right now going around all the islands.... so now im slumming it at home by myself... its awesome

when i got married work would only give me 1 week off for my honey moon even though i had enough time for well over 3 weeks, they just decided to be a pain... and it worked
